They were a private club but were taken over by the same owners as Scotland Run, a semi-private golf course I play often as a good friend of mine is a member there. They are both challenging and well laid out golf venues but I think Ballamor may have the edge on the course design but not the clubhouse. I've dined at Scotland Run a number of times and the food and ambiance of the clubhouse will rival most private country clubs. I've seen the course, which has large greens and wide fairways, and encourge golfers to take advantage of this new opportunity to play the challenging course now that the gates are open to everyone.
